Pro FIFA player, Hashtag Tom, brought home the title for Watford as he was crowned ePL champion on Thursday.
A total of 40 players from PlayStation and Xbox battled it out in a group stage and single elimination format.
The tournament was originally planned for earlier in the year but was moved online due to the current pandemic.
With ยฃ40,000 on the line, we break down Hashtag Tom’s path to victory.
Hashtag Tom wins for Watford
The tournament began with all 40 players split into four groups of five in their respective console. Hashtag Tom was placed in group A alongside Fredo, MHaywxrd, Kingrowll and LiamCuthyy.
Tom showed from the outset that he meant business and put on an impressive display. He ended the group stages in first place with a 7-2 score total.
He then found his way to the semi-final where he would face Callumitty.
Here we goooooo then ePremier League finals at 6pm. Let's hopefully finish the year with a bang โผ๏ธ
It was a devastating 5-0 win for Hashtag Tom in the semi-final and he looked in peak form.
There was more of the same in the console final as Tom faced Chelsea’s Kyle Hammond. He won 5-1 and seemed almost unstoppable as the goals continued to flow.
The grand final match was extremely back-and-forth as both players had their eyes set on the prize.
Tom put himself in the lead after an early strike from Roberto Firmino and seemed to be in the driver’s seat. His lead was then extended to two after Paul Pogba netted in the 38th minute.
It was then too late for MarcMarleyyy as he got one back but the full-time whistle blew for Hashtag Tom.
The top players from around the globe competed in the FIFA 20 Summer Cup Series to be crowned their respective regional champion.
From July 17th to August 26th, six online FIFA 20 tournaments were hosted for six different regions of the world. The regions included Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Middle East/Africa.
As spectator tournaments were a no-go this year, these online tournaments provided us with top FIFA gameplay from the comfort of our homes.
Here is a look at how all six events played out and who emerged victorious in each region.
Ollelito conquers Europe
The European Summer Cup Series event kicked off on July 17th. Twenty-four of the best European players went head-to-head for a prize pool of $78,000.
Big names like Tekkz, Gorilla and Ollelito were among the impressive competition and the matches, unsurprisingly, did not disappoint.
Despite the standard of opposition, Swedish national, Ollelito, proved too dominant. He remained unbeaten throughout the event and beat Hashtag Tom 11-6 (agg) in the grand final. This then secured him a respectable $15,000.
INVINCIBLE!@ollelito ๐ธ๐ช goes unbeaten all tournament and conquers the FIFA 20 #SummerCupSeries Europe! ๐๐๐ฅ
Only eight players competed in the Oceania region from July 21st-23rd. Despite the lack of major talent in this region, the matches were still exciting to watch.
FUTWIZ’s Marko made it to the grand final and faced off against Nezer. The match went the way of Nezer and he took the lion’s share of the $30,000 prize pool.
South America couldn’t stop Paulo Neto
The South American event took place between July 24-26th. Eight of the best South American FIFA pros put it all on the line for $30,000.
As expected, the competition was an extremely high standard in this region. The likes of Zezinho and Paulo Neto took to the pitch with high intensity games each day.
After remaining unbeaten all tournament and even netting eight goals against Yago in winner’s finals, Paulo Neto was too good for the opposition. He claimed the win along with $10,000 prize money.
The FIFA Summer Series Cup North America also had a prize pool of $30,000 with eight players in total. The matches were played from July 31st to August 2nd.
Two Americans ended up in the final with Fiddle taking on MaXe vip. Fiddle won both legs with a 5-3 scoreline total and took home the $10,000 prize.

MsDossary asserts his dominance in Middle East
Many call MsDossary the best FIFA player in the world. His performance at this event showed everyone why he deserves such a title.
MsDossary was the clear favourite in the event which took place on August 24th. He dominated all who were put in front of him and took home the $10,000 with ease.
This win also made him the first ever FIFA player to win four consecutive major events over four seasons.
Day two of the CDL Playoffs 2020 have finished and two more teams advance further in the tournament. However, the biggest talking point has been certain pro players being booted offline during the matches.
In day one of the CDL Playoffs, drama ensued after pros being hit offline during crucial points in the game. Because of the current CDL rules, the matches cannot be restarted which has caused widespread discontent among the professional community.
OpTic Gaming player, Kenny, was booted offline in yesterday’s matches which resulted in OpTic bringing in a substitute. His teammate, Slasher, was extremely vocal on social media about the issue and believes the tournament “needed to be postponed”.
I tried to tell you guys it needed to be postponed.. canโt just have the tournament just to have it when itโs this unfair.
London Royal Ravens player, Zer0, experienced the same issues on day two. Ravens then went on to lose the match and fall to the losers bracket.
Slasher and Zer0 are only two among many that are outraged by the current situation. Zer0 branded the league “brainless” in a rage-fuelled tweet after the series loss.
I dont give a fuck about a fine or anything, there is 0 chance the tournament can fucking go ahead, you have allowed a 4.6 million dollar tournament to go ahead ONLINE, with a 100k prize to someone WHO PREDICTS A BRACKET RIGHT, fucking brainless im sorry.
Despite the infuriating online issues, the tournament must go on. London Royal Ravens and Minnesota Rokkr were knocked into the losers bracket. Meanwhile, New York Subliners and Toronto Ultra advance in winners bracket.
Ultra clinch the win against Royal Ravens
Toronto Ultra began the series strongly and took the 1-0 lead after winning the Hardpoint. However, Royal Ravens put up a fight and took the S&D 6-3.
Ultra then won the third map and a controversial fourth map to close out the win. Zer0 was booted offline during the second Hardpoint which undoubtedly tilted the odds in Ultra’s favour.
Toronto now move on to winners round two whilst Royal Ravens drop to losers bracket which makes their job a lot tougher.
Subliners stun the Rokkr
New York Subliners have had an extremely up and down season. They came out hot against Minnesota and put themselves 1-0 up.
Exceed and Assault then stole the show in the S&D as Minnesota levelled it at 1-1.
The Subliners then closed out the series 3-1 and sent Minnesota down to the losers bracket.
After a shaky couple of days for the CDL, things sadly don’t look like they are going to change. With $4.6 million on the line, the players are growing evermore frustrated with the current situation.
The Call of Duty League Playoffs are finally here and the first day of matches have been played. Two series have been completed and two teams have been sent packing. Here is how it all went down.
Legion make light work of Surge
Both Paris Legion and Seattle Surge haven’t had the greatest season. Both teams sit at the bottom end of the standings and never looked too impressive.
The first map of the series went the way of Paris Legion as they took the Hardpoint 250-110. Legion looked hot out the gates and this performance was a sign of things to come.
With an impressive performance from Louqa, Legion went 2-0 up in the series after winning the S&D 6-4. The boys on Paris certainly came to play and finished things up by completing the 3-0 sweep.
This win has secured Paris Legion a minimum of $100,00 and sends Seattle Surge home. Seattle had quite the difficult year and will definitely look to improve next season.
OpTic send Guerillas packing
The two Los Angeles based teams have had an unsurprising rivalry throughout the year. Both teams have underperformed and looked to prove their worth at playoffs.
LA Guerillas took map one of the series as OpTic’s Kenny disconnected during the Hardpoint. With the new rules in the online format, players cannot restart the map after a certain amount of time.
OpTic fought back in the series and put themselves 2-1 up against their rivals. Guerillas then forced the fifth map as they levelled it at 2-2.
With Kenny still facing technical issues, Dashy came in as a substitute and replaced him for the final map. Dashy was anything but rusty as he put in a shift and helped OpTic to the 3-2 win.
The 2020 Call of Duty League season is nearly over. We’ve detailed everything you need to know ahead of the final event of the year.
After a turbulent inaugural season, the Call of Duty League is ready to award its first champions. All 12 teams will compete in playoffs for a chance to play at the Championship Weekend where the winners will be crowned.
Despite the event being played online, all teams will be giving it their all under the fairest circumstances possible.
How to watch Call of Duty League Championship 2020
The much-anticipated finale of the CDL season will begin with playoffs on August 19th. These matches will be played through to August 23rd with the best teams advancing to the Championship Weekend.
All four teams that make it to the Championship Weekend will play on August 29th and 30th.
Matches will be available to watch as usual on the official CDL YouTube channel. All streams are scheduled on the channel so make sure to set reminders for each day of the tournament.
Format & schedule
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, CoD Champs will be played online for the first time in its history. Teams already have experience of this as the rule was imposed midway through this season.
The CDL points accrued by the teams play a big part in their playoffs advantage. The higher seeded the team is, the less games they will need to win to make it to the finals.
Below you can find the official schedule for CDL Playoffs as well as the full bracket showing each teams starting point.
With changes to things like AI customisation and goal celebrations, let’s take a closer look at what Pro Clubs will have in store for us next year.
AI customisation in FIFA 21 Pro Clubs
FIFA 21 Pro Clubs AI customisation menu
As can be seen above, Club Managers will be able to customise the appearance of all AI players in their club. All club members will have access to the tile but can only view the players being customised by the manager.
Club Managers will be able to customise the following:
– Name (including kit and commentary)
– Kit number
– Birth date, nationality, region
– Preferred foot
– Face, skin tone, eyes, mouth etc.
– Hair, facial hair
– Kit fit, accessories
– Animations
This makes a change from previous years where the same AI players would be on your team every time. The new feature adds a bit of creativity and personalisation to the game mode.
Managers can customise preset tactics
Another new tile under the “Manage” section is your club tactics. Club Managers can customise up to five preset tactics which can include all five game plans (ultra defensive, defensive, balanced, attacking, ultra attacking).
EA stated the following: “A Club Manager can select 1 of the 5 tactics from the tactics page to begin customization. Select and customize each game plan to fit your teamโs custom or unique play style.
“The newly customized AI Players will also appear on the tactic menus. Club Managers can provide instructions to their AI Players to ensure they match your play style.”
Club Tactics feature in FIFA 21 Pro Clubs
After a Club Manager has customised their preset tactics, they can find their created presets in the Pro Clubs Match Lobby.
This allows players to vary their strategies against different clubs and cater towards different teammates.
The ability to just change your clubs formation is still there as normal, however, the tactics option could give you that little edge over your opponents.
Formation customisation in FIFA 21 Pro Clubs
FIFA 21 Pro Clubs celebrations
FIFA celebrations are always fun, creative and often mimic real life goal celebrations seen in professional football.
Here is a list of the first batch of celebrations that have been revealed which are set to be included in FIFA 21 Pro Clubs:
– One Eye
– Point to Sky
– Ice Skating
– Golf Swing
– Matador
– Dance 2
– Dance 3
– Chest Thump
– The Salute
– Elbow
– Show Respect
– Big Man
– Baby Girl
More information is set to follow regarding Pro Clubs. However, so far so good as these two big changes have already been set in stone.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is the talk of the town in the gaming universe. Millions worldwide are addicted to this newly-released party game and it’s not hard to see why.
With its bizarre characters, bright colours and surprisingly simple controls, Fall Guys brings a whole new meaning to the battle royale genre.
The game is extremely popular on streaming services such as Twitch. What’s more, it has already racked up over two million sales on PC alone.
Fall Guys is available on PS4 and Steam and is currently free for PlayStation Plus members this month only.
In this game show-style battle royale, up to 60 players compete in various obstacle courses with the aim of being the last one standing.
Each level or course has a different method of completion. Whether it’s balancing on a spinning beam, avoiding huge swinging balls or racing to the finish line, you must do it better than the other players or you’ll be eliminated.
To control your character, all you need to do is jump, dive and grab. Although the controls are simple, winning is anything but easy which makes the game so addictive.
The best way to improve in Fall Guys is simply to keep practising. Take your time and work with others to get as far as possible in this chaotic and compelling party game.
Collaborations are on the cards
Fall Guys developers, Mediatonic, have already collaborated with Dennaton Games’ Hotline Miami with an exclusive costume based on the game.
Due to the sheer popularity and love of Fall Guys, many gaming companies and studios have publicly stated their openness for collaboration with the hit game.
KFC Gaming, Cyberpunk 2077 and Hitman are just three of many that have indicated a possibility for collaboration.
To become victorious in Fall Guys takes both a mixture of luck and skill. Sadly, some players have discovered hacks which give themselves a distinct advantage over others.
These hacks have seen people speed through the map and warp through objects which is no fun for anyone.
Mediatonic have acknowledged these hackers and say that they are “working on it”.
There’s always some that spoil the fun for the rest of us!
We're aware of the speedhackers and are working on it ๐
Some streamers have caught these hackers red-handed and exposed them on stream. Popular streamer, FaZe Cizzorz, encountered this hacker who made it plainly obvious why these people need to cheat to win:
The finale of the CDL season is just under two weeks away. With the CDL playoffs bracket all set, let’s take a look at which teams stand the best chance of taking home the ultimate prize – the CDL Championship.
Atlanta FaZe proved their dominance from the outset as they won their home series back in February. The young squad racked up an impressive 280 CDL points this year, placing them at the top of the standings. Being the number one seed, Atlanta FaZe will only have to win two games to make it to the final. With their strong form this season and impressive individual talent, it will take some doing to stop this lot taking home the trophy.

Chicago Huntsmen
The Huntsmen came out victorious in the first proper home series of the season, CDL London. On paper, Chicago looked to be favourites to take the league by storm and take number one seed. However, due to some dips in form and a slight roster change, Huntsmen are placed in joint third with 230 CDL points. They will need to win four games to make it to the final, and if they turn up, the chances are you’ll be seeing them on Championship Sunday.
Player to watch: Prestinni
Dallas Empire
Second seed, Dallas Empire, start their playoff run in the same position as FaZe. They will only need to win two games to make it to the final after earning a total of 260 CDL points. The boys on Dallas won three events this year and seem to be going from strength to strength. As they start in a strong position, it’s hard to imagine them not going all the way to the final.
In a late run of form, Florida Mutineers won three events this season. They sit in third place in the standings, needing to win three games to make it to the championship final. With a heap of raw talent throughout the squad, Florida are definitely ones to look out for in playoffs.
Player to watch: Skyz
London Royal Ravens
The Royal Ravens have had quite the up and down season. One event they seemed the best in the game and the next the complete opposite. They finished the 2020 season in sixth place with 120 CDL points. This places them in winners bracket for playoffs where they will face Toronto Ultra in round one. After coming so close in regular season, it will be interesting to see if they can finally clutch up when it matters most.
Player to watch: Wuskin
Los Angeles Guerillas
Los Angeles Guerillas were a team with so much potential yet nothing to show for it. They placed rock bottom of the standings giving them the twelfth seed in the playoff bracket. Guerillas will start in the losers bracket and will have the toughest run in the playoffs as a result of their poor regular season performance. However, anything can happen at CoD Champs and a surprise run for the Guerillas might not be as impossible as it seems.
Player to watch: Decemate
Los Angeles OpTic Gaming
OpTic Gaming proved to be the better team in Los Angeles but also underperformed massively. They finished the season in ninth place with 100 CDL points and will start in the losers bracket in playoffs. After two huge roster changes, OpTic Gaming still haven’t found their groove. Although they face the hardest route to the final, they have a good chance of making it far in the bracket.
Player to watch: Slasher
Minnesota Rokkr
Minnesota are among three teams that sit on 120 CDL points. This places them in the winners bracket for playoffs, which gives them a much better chance of making a run. Minnesota have proved at times that they can outperform most teams in the league. They have a solid team consisting of Alexx, Asim, Assault, Exceed and SiLLY. Facing New York Subliners in the first round, they will look to cause some upsets later in the bracket.
Player to watch: Asim
New York Subliners
New York Subliners fought their way to fifth place in the standings after earning 140 CDL points throughout the season. They managed to win their home series event which gave them the boost they needed to secure a winners bracket position heading into playoffs. With their form being up and down through the year, we may see New York cause chaos or blow out early.
Player to watch: Mack
Paris Legion
Despite a couple of higher placings, Paris Legion finished in tenth place with 100 CDL points. They will start their playoff journey in the losers bracket meaning they must remain unbeaten if they wish to stand a chance. The player quality is certainly not lacking in the Paris roster, however, they need to find some team synergy in order to really pack a punch at playoffs.
Player to watch: Louqa
Seattle Surge
Seattle had all the makings of a top three team at the start of the year. The three time world champion, Karma, was on their side, however, the squad just couldn’t find their form. Surge placed joint last in the standings and will have a difficult run in playoffs. It is hard to see them doing well with their current run of form.
Toronto Ultra
Toronto Ultra will start in winners bracket and face the Royal Ravens in round one. After winning the final home series of the season, they will look to continue their good form into playoffs and cause some upsets. As champs will be played online for the first time ever, anything could happen. Players may be unhappy with the online format, but we will undoubtedly see some outstanding Call of Duty.
